Skin positivity diaries

What defines beauty? I am beautiful with my freckles, dark circles, acne, and scars. My skin texture doesn't define my beauty. Neither the color of my skin. I may not define an ideal beauty parameter but ain't no skin shaming can distract me from my true ambition.  I am not flawed, I am one of a kind. Sometimes I go through hormonal changes and my skin flaunts it. And some of us are just blessed with genetics. Why is it socially unacceptable to go through internal changes? And who sets the beauty parameters? What exactly defines true beauty? My skin doesn't hinder my capability.  I am not lacking in any aspect. I equally contribute to serving Mankind. Why is there so much hatred regarding skin texture and color?  My beauty lies beneath my skin. And I will not hesitate to flaunt my imperfections. I ain't gonna cover my scars, they are as bold as my choices. I will use no filters to hide behind the camera. I will walk out in confidence with my bare skin...

A poem called "YOU"

Image
A poem called "YOU" Dear you,                   Thank you for going through thick and thins together for all these years. To me, you are an old book that stayed with me the longest. I have read you over and over countless time. But every time I think now that I know you, you always surprise me with a new chapter. Today, I'm reading this book again turning page by page several times.  You have never failed to console every reader that passes by, but they push you away. In a cold lonely night, you comforted them with your warmth and love. Sadly, not many realized your worth but you keep watering the sand hoping the flowers to blossom. As I read your stories, I smiled often and cried many times. All the stories you tell me makes my entire day just pass by. I fold the corner and read it every night, till it wears out I will keep reading.  The story I couldn't see, can you tell me about it now? I don't have a sad face but I'll not even try to laug...

When night falls

Image
From far away it is fading, My dream which as I see, I am just blankly standing there, Must I give up on everything? I did it but, I stand up again, Step by step even today, I carefully step on it, With a fearful heart, And the excitement I hold onto, Even If I'm staggering and shaking, I walk another step, For the shake of my upcoming dream. When night falls, I'll send the glow of a firefly to somewhere near your window. I hope it flies to you. I'll be there, behind you. Singing till the end, this song will be endless. When I look at you, I feel that you and I were destined to meet, like the stars in the night sky. I'll be there with you for a long time. Every time I come up with a poem called you, I want to memorize it so I can remember you. I'll protect you when a sad night comes. Through the fading starlight, I can't hide my growing feelings for you. Step by step, I'll slowly go towards you. In the fading moon...

I lost my soul

Image
I lost my soul The cold winter not only stole the breath of cherry blossom but also left me fragile and vulnerable but you were warmer than the sunshine, so I hold you in the cold winter night and the love inside your eyes turned my cloudy day to sunshine.    I wonder, If this fragile voice, Escaping all its bounds in me, Traversing the very air you breathe, Shall make your withering buds bloom again, Like the cherry blossoms, Under the clouds of the blue sky, Awaiting a spring lost amidst the sun, I wonder,  If your buds do bloom, Will you see me then? Will you then, hear this silent voice? The cold December night, you made me fall for your innocent eyes, your gentle touch, and your warmth, I reminisce this warmth and close my eyelids softly, I still remember you as clear as day. Closing the door of our room, I said goodbye to the memories since then, it has been a year and a half. I wanted to walk behind you. If only I could turn back time, I'd never let you go. I never realized ...
